Fuel pump sending unit.

My fuel gauge is sitting on dead empty, although fuel tank is full. Stopped by Firestone and was told I need a new fuel pump assembly unit because the fuel sensor is built into the pump. 700.00 job. Any suggestions?

Its normally the sending unit.... Yes you can replace separately BUT why take the pump out and separate.. change the whole thing....

You can try fuel system cleaner but that's only a band aid.... you can shop around or use a cheep pump but that's about the normal price for parts and labor here in NY...
