Gas mileage is horrible

Gas mileage absolutely sucks in the winter with the extra idling.
170 miles and it was empty enough to take 20 gallons!

Remember, you're also going to get the "winter blend" of gas. NOT sure exactly what that means, but gas mileage ALWAYS goes to hell in a hand bag in winter !!!!!!

Basic Maintenance helps too, Filters, Fluids, plugs wires. Everyone says they are all new or ok, Yep, Not the case.

New last year, I put maybe 5000 miles a year on it. It literally sits on the street from April until September

Clean - spray the Mas Air Flow meter. It may be gummed up or a wire sensor is broken. As rich as it is, you're either running a bad maf or you have a vacuum leak in the intake manifold my best guess

Clean that and intake every fall

My '08 V-8 STA is showing 19.4 mpg for the last 954 miles. I do try to keep my toe out of the servo and stay within the speed limits. I use injector cleaner twice a year, but no other routine maintenance except oil/filter changes every 5K and the air filter when it gets dirty. I probably should start cleaning the MAF sensor.

I change oil in all.of my 3 vehicles, every 2500miles. My mustang never goes past 2500. I change air filter twice a year and put injector cleaner in tank often

My '08 V8 AWD STA gets about 15.2 in the winter and about 16.7 in the summer. If I baby it and really try, I can get about 18.5 mpg on the interstate. The truck has around 198K miles on it but even when brand new I only got maybe .5 mpg better.
