FOUND OUT ABOUT A GAS SAVING TIP, BUT NEED SOME INFO... I HEARD ABOUT 2 OZ. OF PURE ACETONE ADDED TO AT LEAST 10 GALLONS IN YOUR TANK CAN REALLY BOOST YOUR GAS MILEAGE. HAS ANYBODY TRIED IT? IF SO, WHAT WHERE THE RESULTS. OR IS THIS EVEN A GOOD IDEA WORTH TRYING. HELP...NEED FEEDBACK

I conducted a test about a year ago and there was no effect from acetone on fuel economy. I'm an engineer and conducted the test in a scientific manner; careful measurements and recorded results. Three tanks of gas showed no effect whatever. If you believe the claims in the articles, you would expect to see immediate, drastic improvement in mpg. Didn't happen.

S**T, I was hoping you had something there. We buy acetone by the Tanker load, I was thinking I'm in seventh heaven. No more mpg worries for me, lol.
