I am looking to upgrade the cigar lighter a power port. My 2002 sport Trac has the standard cigar lighter on the left-hand side of the radio. When using it as a PowerPort the plugs don't always connect properly leaving the plug on or off or rotating while driving. I have replaced the cigar lighter a couple of times with new ones it seems the design is the problem not the cigar lighter itself. The PowerPort to the right-hand side of the center console is a perfect type replacement. The only problem is how to mount it into the existing hole that remains when the cigar lighter is removed. The cigar lighter has a screw threaded two-piece mount. The PowerPort I'm not sure how it mounts in except for a plastic ring does anybody know of any aftermarket parts that would work perfectly in that existing hole.
