Has anyone purchased the Gen II bed mat from Ford? If so, how well does it fit and how well does it hold items in place?

Thanks,

- Yes, it was my very first mod.

- It fits well IMO. It does leave a gap on all three/four sides, but this gap also allows you to lift the edges of the mat for easy access to the storage areas.

- It holds items in place very well. So much so, that it is difficult to slide items into the bed.

The only drawback is that because of the texture, it gets dirt pretty easily. I keep my cover on almost 100% of the time, but if I walk around my bed, it leaves dirty shoeprints. It does however clean easily with some windex and a lint-free cloth.

Looks and fits great. Holds items in place really well unless you're trying to road race the Trac! Best FORD item I've bought for the Trac. I even got rid of my bed extender since it was always in the way and the mat helps keeing things put!

It is the OEM one from Ford, 6L2Z-99112A15-A

The mat is still holding up great.

I never take it out and it still looks and grips like brand new.

I paid somewhere around $60 to $70 including shipping and sales tax.

I found it in a clearance section of a genuine Ford parts site, but I can't find the link right now. It's in my email somewhere. I'll post it if I can find it.

All I could find for the time being is this.

The link above lists $74.16 +shipping

I'll look for the "clearance" link I originally used and maybe save you a few $, but in the mean time see if one of our site sponsors cane get you a good price.

If the liner is ANYTHING like the liners for the 01 to 05, it is worth EVERY penny.

It is a must have as far as I am concerned.

It is a great addition to ones truck. The only prblem I have with it is if you have a bed extender, it makes it a little tougher to lock the bed extender into place when the extender is back into the bed. It also makes it a little more aggrevating to get to the bed storage holes. Otherwise I love mine.

you can shave the rubber feet off the bed extender so it will lock in place easier, that's what i did but I have a 15 yr old bed mat that's been in about 5-6 trucks so far, still works.
