I heard about that yesterday. I'd be surprised if the buyer actually pays up. Even the Batmobiles don't sell for that much.

Yeah, but this one was owned by John Schneider (Bo Duke) himself, and modified by him. To a fan and collector it is worth it. Remember something is WORTH what someone is willing to pay.

Maybe GoldenPalace.com bought it...they paid big bucks for the Virgin Mary Grilled Cheese sandwich.

The car was worth that to a few people, apparently, as it takes at least two to increase the price of a bid.

The thing about that car is that when (if) it comes time to resale it, it probably won't fetch nearly the same amount. This is not a significant car is any manner when you step back and look at the whole picture.

Makes me wonder where all these people with money and no sense were when KITT was up for sale...How is the General Lee any more worthy of seven figures then that car?

Your guess is as good as anyone else's, Nelson.

The biggest thing about this car is that it was owned by Schneider before the show and leased to Warner Bros. for the show. The car supposedly even still has a scratch on the driver's side from a stunt.

If you read one of the stories, Schneider is selling the car to finance a movie about the car. Once he sells it, he will have to 'rent' it back from the owner. So, some of the money will be coming back but still $10M is insane.

Maybe some redneck won the lottery, saw this and went a little crazy with the bidding.

i checked the guy that won the auctions feedback and i highly doubt he is legit

he has bought nothing but drill bits and pocket knifes and unless he DID WIN

the lottery im sure he wont have the cash for those wheels.
