Report said he never took it in. If he failed the recall, he may have a fight on his hands with the insurance and Ford...:(

It will most likely be covered by his home insurance and I doubt if they will say anything. The vast majority of home fires are from somebody doing something stupid.

Home Owners will cover but if he tried to sue Ford, that would be a tough one. Since the recall was announce and letters sent (pending if he received a letter) he should have made an appointment for the repair.

Home owners will not cover the carts here in NY, since cars have their own insurance...

Mine's going in on the 19th. That's the soonest my local Ford dealer could get it in, so if it burns down before then, it's on them. :)

Not worried one bit. I will get it done when I get a chance.

There are two different people just within the last month that had their trucks burn up on F150online.com, both didn't bother with the recall.

Oh, look, this one just posted pics of his burned wreck today.

...and how many vehicles are involved in the recall? Millions. You almost have a better chance in winning the lotto than your vehicle catching on fire.

If you had the luck I have you would be getting it fixed sooner rather then later.

LOL.

I would still get it done asap. One of they guys that works with me had his burn up about a year ago. Ford has yet to pay him. They say his stereo wires caught fire even though they did not send someone to look at the vehicle.

I havent recieved a letter, but how do I know if mine is involved in the recall?

Call your local dealer with you VIN number. They will tell you if you have any outstanding recalls.
