Are ya terrified?

I for one, welcome science in food. It's the only way we've had the health and population increase we've seen in the 20th Century and on.

I think that what folks want is, GMO in the label. I seems that the manufactures feel that labeling GMO will scare people off.

I support the manufacturers having to put GMO on the label if that's what people want to see. People need to have an informed knowledge of what that means, though.

Saw this the other day and thought it was a pretty good summation of the issue, especially the part about who's causing big corporations to control food resources. Oh, and the gap between what scientists and the general population.

Im probably done for anyway. I used ride my bike behind the mosuito spray truck. Then I used to breath asbestos dust from brake drums and tearing insulation from old steam pipes......LOL

Hugh,

I think it all comes down to individual definitions of GMO's? Labels will help, but only if there is a clear definition of exactly what constitutes a GMO product. My concern with labeling is that many of the companies tend to stretch the truth by interpreting the law to favor their viewpoint.

I don't oppose some GMO's but overall, I think that the less processing or intervention by man is always better. Most of the GMOs were used to benefit the seller or producer, rather than the consumer.

The real problem is that Extremest views from both sides always enter the picture, if only to alter our perception and make it difficult to sort out the facts from fiction !
