RichM-exactly. My vendor does those t-shirts as well. I've always wondered what they did with the losing teams merchandise...LOL To some it may be collectibles.

It depends. Sometimes it is destroyed, and sometimes it it sent to third-world countries. Or, it is nevertheless sold. Back when the 76ers lost to the Lakers in the NBA Finals, I ran into many street vendors selling 76ers Champions t-shirts.

SST--Kind of like "Revenge of the Jedi" merchandise. (That was the originally planned title for "Return of the Jedi".) There isn't much merchandise out there with that name, but what does exist is definitely cherished by collectors.



Another one in that category is Jacksonville Jaguar merchandise with the original helmet--the one that was unveiled when it was announced they were getting an expansion team, but was dropped when Jaguar (car manufacturer) sued them to block its usage because it too closely resembled the Jaguar hood ornament.
