Replaces stock rubber floor. $25 is actually a pretty good deal, most carpet kits sell for over $100.

There was an OEM Ford carpet kit as well that used to be sold, as I had it in my ST. They don't have any padding on the back, so you just install it over the top of your existing vinyl floor.
Also, if you find a 95-01 4-door Ex with carpet in good condition, it will perfectly swap into place of your vinyl floor as they have the exact same floor pan from the back seats forward.
