For anyone that followed this thread or was thinking about a gun rack I did install one of the overhead ones. There is not enough room to fit my largest shotgun but all of the rest fit. It allows pretty good access to the front one right from the drivers seat and the guns are not really visible when just walking by. The bad side is that it could obstruct the view of an adult in the backseat and could potentially be a danger in an accident for someone in the back although the mounts are very well padded. Also the install was a bit difficult because there is so much space between the headliner and the side rails. [Broken External Image]:
