Even after 5 years of ownership, it's nice to see a vehicle get so much attention. :) Today I was sitting in the right-turn lane at an intersection, when after I pulled out, a white ST in the left turn lane made an abrupt decision to turn RIGHT instead. He followed me a couple of miles before he could get alongside of me to tell me he liked my truck. :) (Too bad traffic was moving in his lane, or I would of told him about this site.)

Who has had this happen to them? (This isn't the first time, but he practically mowed people down!)

I had a guy following me one time. I had just finished washing it and was going to the school parking lot to take some pictures. He pulled up right along side and we chatted for about 20min. He had clear corners and different door speakers, and that was it.

I got the thumbs up on the freeway the other day from a real nice looking dark blue ST with big ol chrome rims. Better than getting the finger!

I wave at every Trac I see..maybe 2 out 10 wave back..I do card alot of tracs in parking lots..:D

I still get people coming up and asking if they can sit in the truck, or tell me that its the nicest truck the have seen, etc. makes me feel good and it just goes to show you how well designed this truck really is. its functional, not too big, doesn't drink gas like other trucks and its so damn sexy!

There are 2 groups of vehicle owners that wave to each other... Jeep Wrangler and Harley Davidson owners. Is this something that we should try to start?

Fast Eddie...when you "card" a Trac...what do you mean?

A guy came across the parking lot to me one day to ask me about mine. He said he had tried to catch me other times as I was getting on the freeway, but he couldnt' catch up to me.

When I am working days, on my way home I get behind 2 ST's. One is white and the other one is dark blue. This on a different crew at work has on the same color as mine. I told her about the site but dont think she has visited yet.

I pulled out into the passing lane yesterday and interrupted the groove of some guy in a Suzuki who was also pulling out into the lane at about the same time and gunning it (we were in bumper to bumber traffic that was just starting to open up). He waved one finger at me. I gave him the polite..."sorry didn't see you, my bad" wave, and he again gave me the finger back, and I gave him a big THUMBS UP. He tailgated and dodged around me, flipped me off for the third time, as he passed. He then went on to dodge around other cars and hit the horn, etc., then slammed on the brakes in front of another carr as he turned off onto a side road. Guess he was in a hurry.

Funny thing is, it didn't really upset me. 10 years ago I would have followed the guy and we would have had words. But I have since learned that though I CAN'T control people on the road, I CAN control my response to them.

I think he envied my ST.

As a Jeep owner, please let's not start this. Not that I am anti-social, and I am a big proponent of 'the wave', but sometimes it is nice to be in the ST and not have to wave. Even when I am in the ST and see I Jeep I catch myself as I am about to wave. See the links before for the rules & regs - it's not easy!!!

Note also there is more to it than just a wave - it's the 'if you are on the side of the road I will do what I can to help you' attitude. Let's implement that but not the wave.

Michelle,

Perhaps he liked the looks of the driver more than the ST, but was too shy to say so??

I walked out of KMart on day and there was someone checking out my truck. I'm such a snob about my truck that it never occured to me that he might be up to something, I just assumed he was admiring my baby. Turns out I was right. He asked a few questions and I mentioned the website...turns out he was a member from Phoenix.

We've had several people ask about our truck, and I've noticed several people staring. I know that I can spot another ST miles away and I am always looking at other people's trucks.

Of the 4 or 5 STs I regularly see every day on my way to the office, one flipped me the bird , one did actually talk about the ST (complained about brakes) ;) and the other simply ignored me.

There's a colleague here that has a deep blue ST that simply was not interested in this iste at all (her loss) :D
