Ham Radio Installation in a '07

Has anyone found a good place to mount a 2 meter FM transceiver in the ST? Mine is a 07 and I just cannot see a good place to mount it. Need to get the power leads into the engine compartment also. Not a big radio (5" wide, 2" high, 6" deep) (Yaesu 1500m) but I don't want to cut up the inside if I can help it.

Going to use a mag mount antenna and just run the coax through the back door seal. Not too much for mounting surface.

I made a couple U shaped aluminum strap brackets that go into the cup holder and over the top to mount my radio on passenger side of the console with the face up. It takes up very little space in the cup holder and holds the radio securely. There is a hole in the front door post you can reach from inside and I ran my coax through that up to the side of the windshield. I have two tie wrap pads glued to the edge of the windshield and the coax runs through them up to the luggage rack and the antenna.
