I put some new carlisle ag tires on my lawn tractor. What a difference it makes. My little cub cadet climbs hills like a billy goat.

Actually you might be able to put a Jetkitin the carb

and get some more power,those tires are bad

just got to be carefull with that much tread as

not to tear up grass on tight turns and such.
 
My John Deere GX255 does pretty well with the turf tires. Of course I have the little magic pedal that locks the differential when the going gets slippery! I plow snow with the turf tires and chains, but have been thinking about filling the rear tires with windshield fluid and/or adding some wheel weights.



Where did you get your lugs? Did you stay with the same size as stock? I ask this because I am not finding 24x12x12 lugs for my tractor--and a buddy recommends that I drop down a size when switching to lugs anyway.
 
Nice to see that there are some Aspen Green ones like mine out there still! Nice mower too... That's next on my list.
