Which repair book do I need since they dont seem to make one just for the Sport Trac? They have one that is for up to 01' Explorer (I have an 01' ST), so is that the one I need??

Get a Helm repair manual. Don't mess with the cheapies like Haynes or Chiltens. They suck.

Helm makes the same manuals that the dealers use. They cost more because they cover every square inch of the exact model you are working on.

I found a Ford Sport Trac workshop and a Ford electrical manual on ebay, They are just for my 04, maybe you can find one for an 01. Gary

Gamecockfan... I have the '04 Wiring Manual by Helm --- best $$ I've spent on my truck. It has MOST of the answers I need, if not all... I've been looking for an '04 Shop Manual but haven't been able to find one that's not a DVD. I have provided a link to what you should look for on eBay... I believe these manuals are $175 for both the shop manual and the wiring manual--- I purchsed my wiring manual for $14 on eBay, but would guess to spend at least $80 for the shop manual itself... Good luck! LB

My Local Ford Dealership, their autoparts department stated that they could order a manual for the ST at around $65 bucks. Stated that it's what they use at the shop, that it's the actual Ford Shop Manual for the '02 ST. Maybe a dealership near you can do the same getting you one for your '01.

Edit...Sorry meant to say 65 bucks not 25

OFF TRAC, we need to talk. I just bought my service manual online (used one) for about 100$. If you can get those 2 books for 65$ (new), I think we have a business!

My dealer quoted me 180$. He told me to go to Helm directly, because if he does, then he have to add his own charge to it.

I ended up getting a used one on ebay. I don't have the wiring one yet, but I think it's about 50$ at Helm.

If you don't want to spend that money, then at least look for Chilton instead of Haynes. You rarely find Chilton in parts store; look it up online.

Not 100% confident about it, but look at this dvd offer. I ordered one two days ago for $13.98 with shipping just to see if it's real. I'm guessing they're making copies and selling them. We'll see when it gets here.

You could download them from fordcds.com. Why support someone that is stealing the data and reselling it. Steal it for yourself and eliminate the middle man.

Buy a Book. Use the CD as "back-up" material. Print the section you need to repair and when finished, throw the paper away. Keep your book clean.
