heated seats

Hi

anyone know of a way to disconnect the heated seats?

the reason i ask is because my seats like to come on by themselves and the past couple days around here it

has been in the 90s and the damn seats come on and make it worse.

so i ask is there someplace under the seat to unplug for the summer?

Raise the seat all the way UP....

Reach under there and unclip the switch...



IF not, You can pull out the switch a small flat screwdriver and unplug...





I do this EVERY year on my 04...



They come on because your hitting the switch getting in and out of the truck...

i dont know about hitting the switch getting in and out i have watched to make sure i dont do it

and the come on.

i have sat in the truck engine off waiting for my kids to come out of school

and when i start the truck the seats come on. not every time but they have

come on.

it is strange but summers here so time to unplug them.

Could you pull a fuse instead? Or are the multiple items on the fuse for the seats?

Fuse box next to the steering wheel when you open the door on my 03 and 04 is fuse:



#21 it is a 20A for the Heated seats

I've had this problem with my '04 also. I've toyed with the idea of relocating the switches to the console, but never actually gotten around to doing so.

Thanks Todd! Mayhaps I will pull that for the summer to avoid a toasty bottom. Its bad enough I get burned by the leather in the summer as it is! :lol:

Yup, Thats why I would LOVE to trade seats with some one.... GET RID OF THE LEATHER !!
