Hi everyone,

I'm currently living in Curacao (Caribbean), but I want to return to my home country of the Netherlands (Europe) next year and bring my beloved 2001 Sport Trac with me.

To make import easier I need a Certificate of Conformity to proof that the car meets the requirements for the European Union regarding emissions ect.

Does anyone know where I could get such a Certificate of Conformity? At the dealer? Ford USA factory? Does anybody know if the Sport Trac was even sold in Europe (if it was sold there, it would meet the requirements)? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Greets,

Bas

I would advise contacting Ford and/or a Ford dealer in the Netherlands to see if they sold them there and what if anything you would need to change.

Here is a link to a blog by a guy from Iceland who came to America to buy a Sport Trac and took it back there. He might know better than anyone. His name at the bottom will link to a contact page.

Years ago, I was offered a nursing job in the UK and was planning to ship the ST over there. I had to add rear amber turn signals, fender turn signals, a rear red fog light, and, once there, install special shields on the headlights to prevent blinding oncoming drivers in the left lane. I eventually changed my mind and never changed the truck back to US standards.

Mark,

Did you ever get tail lights with amber turn signals?

Dude in Italy that I'm Friends with on Facebook has a Jeep Wrangler, he put pics up once, and it had amber turn signals in the taillights. Just sayin'....
