HELP IAC CLEANING update

Alright i am cleaning my iac but it does not look like the pic can someone help me and tell me why and do i clean the part that i took off or both sides. someone help asap i am outside with it on my laptop:unsure:[Broken External Image]:

There is a plastic plunger that you need to clean. You can move it with your finger.

But like scott said clean the plastic plunger and both sides and re-install should be fine.

look at the pic wich side i tried taking something out but it only moves and squeaks

can i just spray the glass foam cleaner in the unit it self or what

Chris - the plunger lets air get on the other side. Clean both sides. Spray away. Clean, let dry. You should be fine.

alright so i clean and i put it back in there and there is a really big change in the noise but there still a little noise coming from behind my firewall any ideas. ohh and thank you very much for those of you who helped me out. there is a loud hissing sound coming from the iac but i thought that will probally stop after a little running right

The IAC flows air, You may hear it doing its job...



Look around there may be a hose off, cracked hose,You may have a cracked intake, Could be a bunch of things..
