Does anyone have any suggestions on how to remove a stuck CD from the OEM single disc CD player in the 2004 Trac. It will play if you access the CD. When you try to eject it it says EJ then after a few seconds it says err. I've tried turning the power off and back on to no avail. TIA

Mines did that once. Held on to the CD for about 2 days or so and resolved on it's own. Thought it would be a good excuse to upgrade, but since it "fixed" itself, I'm deciding to hold off until I take care of a few more performance mods.

I don't have any expert advice to give you but try disconnecting the negative battery cable for a while and try ejecting the CD. If that don't work, I'd give it a good straight right. That worked on my old LCD flatscreen:lol:

I'm sure others will chime in with more technically sound advice...good luck!

Is it a home made with a label on it? These decks dont like labels or burned disc that are thicker than norm.

Pull the fuses for the radio or disconnect the neg cable..... Resets the radio and makes the single CD spit out the CD...

You may want to try to slip a business card or something else thin and flat into the slot, then push eject. Works for me, but I have the factory 6 disc.

If it's a mechanical failure, sometimes driving over a rough road while hitting the eject button sometimes gives the unit enough vibration to allow the CD to eject.

This worked for me one time I had a stuck CD in my Ranger.
