I removed the oem head unit to see where the stock sub harness would plug into and I found 2 plugs that went into the 6 disc indash unit that were located on the back drivers side. I dont see any other places that something would plug into that is empty. Does one of these go to the sub?? Or would mine ('01 job 1 6 disc indash) not have an output for the facotry sub??

Anyone have a picture maybe?

yup, Your radio does not have the out put on it then, Some did, some dont...

If your truck has the harness it would be buried in there, If it is not there I don't know IF you can just get that harness or if you need the whole dash harness... Which would stink..

Todd,

So, if there is not a 3rd plug, it doesnt have the sub out?? The other 2 must be, what power then the controls in the back seat??

Anyway to add the sun w/o the output??

Yup, and door speakers

To the radio it self, Nope, you need a different radio...

IF you use an aftermarket amp you can use high to lo converters...

To use the OEM sub woofer, you need the 6 disk with all 3 plugs on the back..

02 Audiophile 6-disc in dash changer.

It has the sub connection. Took it out for the 05 6-disc changer with subwoofer because that one has mp3 capabilities :D
