Hey guys...Has anyone else had an issue with the black plastic over the cruise controls and resume buttons tearing, cracking or wearing through?



Is there a simple fix kit? How can I fix this myself and what does it take to replace the covers for these? This economy is killing me and cant afford to take it somewhere.



I need to keep up my paid for 01.

the fix i would recommend is replacing them. i believe they are rather inexpensive.



the black coating on top has been peeling off. and my right one has tore open.

Found the project on the site and also found both switches for $59 on amazon for the pair. motorcraft part #sw5928. hope i dont blow the air bag up in my face. my cheap way out would turn into my usual expensive mistake.:throwup:

I have same issue with one of the buttons that has the broken plastic. Button still works, cant spend $60 right now just for the sake of appearance.

Bought mine on ebay and replace them. Very easy.
