2003 ST 4X4, has anyone added helper springs to the rear springs? I need to add helper springs due to pulling a 6x12 enclosed trailer?? Need suggestions!! Thanks!

Can you put a weight distributing hitch on that trailer? I pull a 22' RV, and the ST would sit low in the back without the WD hitch. With the hitch, it sets level.

i put helper springs on the rear springs on my ST. i bought them at advance auto for $40 for the set and they work great and they help support an extra 1000lbs. took maybe 30 mons ti install. the ST squatted a little when i hooked up to my 20' pontoon boat so i bought these for our trip to canada and back and it sat level the whole ride... even after we loaded the boat with fishing supplies and the box of the truck with firewood and other equipment... they worked great!!!

What makes you think you need helper springs to pull a 6x12 trailer? What are you hauling in the trailer? What is the tonweight of the trailer? Like others said, I too would suggest a weight-distribution hitch first.

But, if you need something more, then check out the Roadmaster Active Suspension kit like Eddie said. I have one on my Trac.
