HID or LED Lincese plate lights

OK im looking at making puddle lights, but I want to stick with the style of the rest of my truck, im looking for what I would need to make HID puddle lights. Im sure im just gonna have to use an LED, but does anyone know where I can get several LED lights to use for puddle lights? I have seen in the tutorials people using lincese plate lights, so if anyone knows where I can get lincese plate lights that use LED or HID blubs let me know please. Thanks.

Brandon, here is a project putting in puddle lights. I'm sure they mention in there what type of lights they used. Check out the project section under "lighting" and there may be a couple more.
