Hitch for Explorer = hitch for ST?

I search and couldn't find any answer. So, would a towing hitch for Ford Explorer will fit ST? I saw an Explorer Towing Hitch on local CL for cheap and tempted to buy it. Please let me know.

i think a pre 2001 explorer may be the same as a gen 1 trac, go to Reese.com, and see if those two vehicles take the same p/n...
