There was a thread regarding this a while back and the Ford hitch seem to sit up under the truck the best. Caymen had posted a pic of his Ford hitch...

My Curt hitch. Not a great photo but it's all I have on the computer. My Trac won't be back until next week.:(

How are the Bridgestones wearing, Jerry. I've had fantastic luck with them on several Ranger/Bronco II's.

Why are my balls always the topic of discussion everytime I post a picture of my truck:lol:? Those tires were great, I put 40k miles on them and they still have about 1/4-1/2 tread. They wore even because I always check the air and rotated them every 5k miles. I'm running BFG's now that I got used, half treads, 285/75/16's. I [Broken External Image]:

Cool, thanks.Im looking at the pics, and it seems that some of you changed the trailer light plug in...like Steve M...am I going to have to do that or is that optional?

I like the curt colored hitches. Especialy if you have painted bumpers. Or if you dont, the the gray seems to match good.

You don't have to change the trailer pigtail, most trailers use the four wire pigtail. You can get adapters that plug into the ST plug.

Cool thanks Jerry.

Eddie, I do think they look nice, but I think I will stick with the black. Thanks though.

Thanks again to everyone,

George T.

Just a warning....

The cheepo hitches will be rusted in about 2 years... the coatings stink....

I have a hidden hitch now, Paul H has my Ebay cheepo hitch and Rachel has a OEM ford hitch..

The Ebay mounted the easiest, the Ford and hidden were a PITA !! the hidden one even tweaked my bumper a little..

I painted ALL the hitches with Por-15 gloss black and none are pealing !!!

Jerry,

I am considering banning you for having the truck nuts....

He is from Pennsylvania. You know how those people are...;) J/K

I wouldn't like the idea of everyone knowing I am "riding" on, or in, another guy.

I hope so, I've never had any issues with anyone on here and the few that had problems with the balls, I've become friends with them as well. :D

I have a Ford OEM hitch. Prior to installation five years ago, I had it coated with Line-X. It cost about $65 to have it sprayed. It still looks great five years later.

As I sit here reading this thread and looking out the window, I see 2 escorts and a station wagon (which might be an escort) and an impala with trailer hitches on them. They look like class I hitches as their hole is tiny.

What's even stranger is that all of them but the wagon have the 7-pin harness affixed (?) What uses a class I hitch besides a bike rack?

Sooo, I'm wondering; is the Caymen Coalition in town?
