Can I install a hitch receiver myself? I'm sure the answer is yes but I mean is it difficult? Only basic tools required?

It is not difficult, only basic tools required. If you have a 2nd person to help hold it in place, that's always a plus, if not a floor jack can be usefull as well. Most of them are simple bolt on applications, usualy the hardest part is holding it up in place to get the bolts started.

Gavin, you are correct. But if i'm not mistaken, War Eagle's profile indicates that he has a 2000 model ST. War Eagle, correct me if i'm mistaken.

Also, I would not pay any more than about ~$80 to install a bolt on hitch. Honestly, you and a friend could do it in about 30 minutes in your drieveway.

Yes, my ST is a 2000. Glad to hear it's easy. I hate paying someone to do something that I know I can do myself.

Thanks
