RL, Like I said, give me the definition of a 1/2 ton truck. Using the reasoning that the bed will hold 1000 LBS means a Subaru Baja is a 1/2 ton truck. Would you agree? You forgot to finish the statement. ...Compared to the 1981 Ford with a straight 6 and 300,000 miles and bad shocks. Let us know how that RL holds up to 5 years of it. What works fine now does not mean it will still work just the same after many years. I abuse my vehicles. My Trac has towed over 8,000 LBS without a problem. (I have weight slips to prove it...if you doubt me) I am sure I did some damage to the tranny pulling that kind of weight up a steep hill, but I don't care. I also know my Trac is not a 1/2 ton truck...even though it is rated to hold 3/4 ton in the bed. Does that mean my Trac can be compared to an F-250? Sweet!!! Tom
