hood scoop??

I am thinking of getting a hood scoop for my ST. Can you get them already painted to match? I was also wondering if they sell a hood that has a functional scoop on it?

There is a shaker hood that is functional. If you go back one post you will see mine. it is for a Ranger and was $42. It came white that matched my truck. All I had to do was drill, screw, stick and drink. No problem!

I know Explorer Express's scoops can be ordered pre-painted. I don't know about others.



And Keystone/Good Hoods makes a shaker hood for the Sport Trac. The catch is, that the scoop itself comes in black, and it has to be adapted to mount and make it functional, as it was designed to be installed on the 2001 Job 1 engine, which had a differant intake manifold design. There is a project on this site on how to mount that scoop on a Job 2 and up 4.0L SOHC engine.
