horn replacement

hi guys, one of my horns (i assume there is a pair) is busted, i understand they are located inside the left front fender and getting to it will require removing the black plastic cover under the fender right? or can i reach it by just removing the screws on the lip if the plastic cover and pry the cover open ??? just wanted to know before i break something

According to Ford:



1. Remove the battery.

2. Remove the horn bracket. (under the battery)

3. Remove the inner fender apron bolts (in the wheel well).

4. Position the fender apron aside.

5. Remove the horn.

The fender apron is a pain to get out of the way. I was into that area today. I did notice that the horns are facing each other, I thought that was odd.Good luck with your replacement._Ron

The horns on my '04 are behind the grill, drivers side of radiator in front..

thanks guys... i got to the horns through the fender aprons or plastic cover....



found the exact same horns to made by Fiamm for 800pesos or about $16.50
