how thick are new front brake pads?

Does anybody know the thickness of the pad on new front brakes?



I've got 4.5 mm remaining, and I'm wondering how thick they were when they were new.

New are alittle more than 1/2". You are very close to replacement. I replace when they are about what you have now. Im a spirited driver. So I dont take a chance of forgeting and ruining a rotor.

About this thick! I_______I If yours are that low, the rivet heads are not far behind. You're heading for some brake squeal pretty soon. Bob
