First off, not in my ST...

My roommate got some this afternoon, and because he wanted to cool it faster, he decided to put it in the freezer. Well, guess what...it froze. So to heat it up again to a drinkable temperature, he decides to put water in a pot, and put the stove on low, and boil it up a bit. He mistakenly puts it on high, and a few minutes later, the beers literally explode and I have Natty Light all over my kitchen. It smells awful (one b/c it's Natty Light, and two b/c it's been sitting out for about an hour now) We got most of it cleaned up, and we can't see any more spots, but the smell is still awful.

Only being on my own for a year now, and being the neat person that I am, I usually don't spill things, and I don't have things I'm cooking explode all over the kitchen, so what's the best way to get rid of, well, mostly the smell? Just spray the whole kitchen down, and with what?

Thanks.

Oh, BTW, I don't drink beer, so don't flame me for underage drinking...

LOL!!! That's a funny story!!! Have you tried a kitchen spray that has bleach in it? I'd try that.

You might try Febreeze or something like that. Maybe Oust air sanitizer if its in the air. Im sure its horrible since its Natural Light, but at least it isnt Natty Ice. Try here. Search at the top of the page. They have tips for everything.

wash it all down with a 1/4cup of bleach in a gal of water. wear gloves if you skin is soft to bleach. if that does not work, pick up some TSP from the hardware store, and mix it per instructions, It will work.

oh, and make the roomate do the cleaning, he was the fool who made the mess

Step One:

Get rid of roomate.

Step Two:

Never try to "double brew" beer.

Since beer has yeast in it, it may be a difficult smell to remove. It may take a

combination of some elbow grease, cleaners/deodorizers and patience to get

rid of the smell. That is what has worked for me in the past.

And tell your roomate that we are turning him into the A.S.P.C.A.

(American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Alcohol)!!!

Sounds like he was already drunk. lol

You may have to pull out the stove to make sure none is underneath or behind it. Also, if you have a vent over your stove, you should make sure no beer is in the filter. You can wash that in the sink with some bleach as well.

Good luck!

Darin, if you add rock salt to your ice chest the beer will be twice as cold in half the time. You can even accidently freeze it this way so you have to keep your eye on it.
