I am looking at a set of Rockford Fosgate tweeters and was wondering how would I install these. Where would be the best place to put them at? Do I need to wire them in to the door speakers or wire them into the wiring harness for the stereo? Thanks for the help.

you can wire them either way. its whatevers easier for you. XST is right they do require a crossover to avoid blowing or damaging them by sending unwanted tones (or frequencies to them)

They appear to come with the crossovers. Like MPTonyT said, you can wire them anywhere you'd like, however, you can not just split a single speaker lead into 2 speakers... I beleive the factory speakers have 2 sets of leads one for the tweeter, one for the mid, disconnect the tweeter one and plug em into the crossover, then from the crossover to the tweeter.

As for placement, lower in the door is better than higher generally. However i have mine just beside where the power mirror controls are on the door and sounds decent.

I thought tweeters where directional speakers, and should be mounted high, ear level if possible, not down towards the bottom of passanger compartment. Most tweeters I have seen OEM are mounted high, most tweeters mounted SEMA cars up high?

I didnt say they had to face the floor... They sound best low, pointed in the proper direction... also, it should not be any further than 8" from the midrange driver.
