Probably spent three times the vehicle's total value on those hideous rims and tires. :cheeky:

I guess I'm not up on the lexicon as I thought that "douche" went with hipster stuff while "ghetto" went with, well, giving your car the cheap looking, anti-performance rims and tires as seen on the Escalades of rap stars as seen here.

What they did to that Hummer truck is a crime as my Fusion has more utilitarian tires than does that SUV. :smack:

The first picture of the Hummer is a body kit on some other vehicle, it would be alot bigger than it is (it's way too small, look at the carport over hang, that thing wouldn't clear it if it was a real Hummer).

A buddy of mine made fun of all the people doing the "BIG" wheel look by mounting a set of Old West StageCoach wooden and steel wheels on his truck and took it to a car show. I don't have pictures but I know they're out on the web somewhere.

Both plum dumb ugly. My aplogys to any of our members, that may have them. But I recently saw a gen1 trac in my neighbor hood, with 24" wheels. Ugly, Ugly........

IMO, it looked stupid.

You will have excess brake, bearing and suspension wear and tear. Plus reduced ride and control qaulity.

I don't mind the truck all that much. I wouldn't own it but I don't think it's terrible.

Respectfully disagreeing in the dirty dirty south where this is common.

The Hummer looks totally stupid and is beyond explanation? So much for personal tastes.

I certainly don't like those huge wheels on that little pickup either. I have seen a few examples of this "Style" around town. One is about a 1978-1980 Monte Carlo with what appears to be 30" wheels...totally ridiculous looking.

There are very few vehicles that look good with wheels larger than 20", perhaps a few larger trucks/SUV's, but certainly not on a small or mid-sized car.

I agree that the Hummer looks to be a kit car of some sort, and also that it looks terrible! The truck, while not nearly as bad as if it was an Impala or Monte Carlo on those wheels, is still a bit much...

I like to think that my old F150 was on of the few that looked good with a larger wheel/tire combo... here's a pic when it was lowered 3/5 with the 23" Saleen wheels.

And then a shot of it after I went the other way, with a 2" leveling kit, 20" Incubus wheels and 35" Nittos...

Dan,

I agree...and that was my point! The F-150 looks good with the larger23" wheels because the wheels fit the scale of the vehicle... On a smaller car or truck they would be too over powering because they would be so out of scale with the size of the vehicle.

Dan,

You know how to put a vehicle together, with large wheels.:supercool:

Some folks dont. They find a wheel they like. They never consider the vehicles, hieght, wheel, style, well openings, wheel widths, offset, and etc.

I threw up in my mouth a little when I saw the Hummer.

I'm not a fan of lowered trucks. Like the huge wheels and thin tires, they seem silly and pointless to me.

To each his own, though. The world would be boring if everyone was like me. :bwahaha:

I think that guy needs just a touch more Chrome on that Hummer Is that even legal with all that reflective chrome?? I'd hate to drive near that with the sun shining

The H2 is no more or less "douchy" because of accessories. It just is.
