Can someone please tell me how to remove the fuel line from the pump? I haven't had any problems getting the tank dropped but I can't figure out how to get that connector off? Also, once I get the line removed is there any trick to removing the pump??

Thanks for the help,

Jacob

You can use a small screwdriver to depress the sides of the clip, but better still, a special tool is made and is available at most parts stores for cheap.

No secret to removing the fuel pump, just use a large drift and other blunt object and a hammer to loosen the retention ring, lift straight up, then at an angle to clear the fuel level float.

I'd use the special tool made for that (fuel line from the pump)

I agree, Chase-- safty first!

I used a brass punch to loosen the ring on the pump, on my T-Bird. No sparks. I had to drop the tank with 14 gallons of fuel. It was heavy...
