How to remove passange dash panel

Can anyone tell me if the passanger side airbag panel just pops off or is there some trick to removing it? Thanks

Are you talking about removing the air bag? If so, disconnect the battery, wait 10 minutes, open the glove box, press in on the sides to allow it to drop past the "stops" and there are 2 bolts to remove and 1 wiring connector to disconnect, accessed through the glove box opening.

If you are wanting to remove the cover from the air bag module ......... don't!

NO, I dont want to remove the airbag!!! I just want to paint that panel! i didnt want to damage it when I was removing it! I just wanted to know if it pulled off.

Nope, it doesn't come off the bag module. You'll have to paint it on the truck or remove the whole bag.

So if I take out the airbag, it will also come out? I would just have the whole thing, not just the panel?

Check my library for photos of an air bag that has been removed. That'll give you an idea of what you're dealing with. I bought these to go in my red '01 and then decided to junk it.
