There has to be some sort of design in the barrel, or high grain bullets causing that, I cant see people firing that thing holding it, needs to me mounted to something like a 50Cal mount..

That gun is for very large game. Illegal in USA since it's greater then .50 caliber. The cartridge is the .577 tyrannasourus [spelling?]. Not a production rifle, but custom made from existing bolt actions such as Mauser and Remington. For you gun guys, muzzle energy exceeds 10,000 ft-lbs. Read all about it in the link.

Holy cow, no wonder it has such a kick. I never really paid attention to the barrel size. I just figured the rounds were just some trick-rounds in a regular, high-caliber gun. Heck of a weapon....

ummm over .50 caliber weapons are legal in the USA, but correct that they are banned in some areas. Which is stupid IMO. If you criminalize guns, only criminals will have guns.

look at your standard 12 gauge shotgun...over .50 and you can shoot a deer slug.

I believe from what I read while researching the .577 T-rex, that center-fire rifles over .50 caliber are banned which does not affect shotguns nor black-powder rifles. Probably have to get a special license as one does to legally own a machine gun. But, I really do not know for certain. The video was shot in Saudi Arabia at the owners private indoor range.

Somewhere in my files I got part of that in an email a few years ago. One the guys had the rifle go back and break the glass on the rear door. Looked like it broke his shoulder too when his turbin went flying.:lol:
