hub bearings

So I replaced my alternator 2 days agoand I noticed my tires were cupping a little so I took my truck in for an alignment cuz the tires were wearing funny and the guy comes out and says "your alignment isn't the problem... you have 2 bad hub bearings... and wd can fix them now for $800"... needless to say i almost shat my pants...Now personally I'm not a big fan of jack williams cuz they try to sell you things you don't need, so I took it home and jacked up the front end and sure enough both tires wobbled pretty good when I shook them. So I went and picked up a pair of MOOG bearings for $330 and tried to replace them myself but was unsuccessful because I nor anyone I know has a 32mm socket... so I called my favorite mecahnic and he quoted me 100-150 to put em in.

Do you have a Sears nearby? I checked and mine had the socket in stock for about 6 bucks.

The parts store may have a loaner socket. A Freind, just borrowed one from AZ.

You can get a socket from the parts store for around $8-10, Harbor Freight also has them cheap if you have one close.

1 1/4 inch works well too! I have both, and both are actually sloppy on the nut, IMHO.

Went to harbor freight and bought a set of metric impact sockets from 10mm to 32mm for $20
