maybe it's me, i just don't get it..

i was looking thru the 07 sport trac sales brouchure last night and i noticed something strange. all the pictures of trac's have the power down window, but in the option area there is no mention of it. same on the ford web site, no mention of power down window, chrome package, new colors and other related job 2 changes.

hey ford, if you want to sell vehicles, how about taking a few minutes to update your info ?

You have the old brochure. There is a new brochure with the info updated to the job 2 STs. However, I agree, the website is lacking regarding current information. That's ashame, since it's the easiest way to get info to the customers. Cheap too. Seems like they are missing an opportunity to affordably get great information about the products out and create a buzz about the products. The ST part of the site is not current and it drives me nuts that they use the 3d graphics in place of really high quality images. I understand when it first came out, but by now they could have really nice images of every color and feature on the ST along with great action shots.

I received my 2007 ST last week and the Ford website still pisses me off. I never could price the vehicle on the website correctly and I tried many times. I could understand relatively new options like the chrome package still not being on the website but the power rear window has been available as an option since May. A blind man with a stick would have better luck finding out all the available ST options than you could using the Ford website. Ford talks about making 'Bold Moves". Well I think a real "Bold Move" would be to actually bring the Ford website up to date. The functionality of the build-a-vehicle part of Ford's website is crucial to a consumer actually making a buying decision and Ford just didn't give a **** about it being correct. I purchased an ST because I really think it's a great vehicle but I thought before and still think that Ford sucks as a company. There's an old saying..."it's all in the details"...well Ford hasn't been paying attention to the details for a long time. I truly think the Ford employees really care and it's really a poor management issue. Bill Ford can issue all the press releases he wants but until he gets his ass up, walks down the hallway, and fires a few managers(the one responsible for their website administration would be a good first choice), they are going to be second rate to the Asian car manufacturers and bleeding money out of every window of their way-to-big office buildings. I want to support an American car manufacturer. I just want Ford to step up and give me a reason to support them.

Well said T.J.

I love Fords and have drove a F250 for the last 6 years. I've wanted a Sport Trac for some time. When I bought my ST a couple months ago I picked all the options I wanted from the Ford website and ordered it. Now I have my ST and started surfing this site to find there are many other options I wanted. Arg.

What is sad is, I talked with my salesman about options and he didn't know any more then the Ford website.

Oh well, at least I got the V8 and 4WD.

I would think that they continue to put the Job 1 info on the site for a bit longer to keep selling them. A way to sell to the un-informed buyer....? Maybe?

WELL SAID, ALL! Man, IF only Bill would see these posts here, he would be making A REAL BOLD MOVE! It's a pity that the people who are willing to buy FORD products are stymied by a lack of detail and attention by the very same car company that is NOT listenig to us. SOMEBODY CALL HIM AND GET HIM OVER HERE ASAP!

Their Mansion is on Rotunda Lane and Henry Ford Bouleverd, in Dearborn, MI.

(6 miles from where I grew up), but I doubt you could get a listed phone number

for him!!!
