LaRue,

Great customer service by WD giving you a 3TB drive to replace the 1TB drive...:supercool::grin:

As for formatting it as a single drive...that should not be a problem. Partitioning drives is old school thinking....As long as you are not running multiple operating systems, you should have no problem. Now you can run most operating systems on the same partition...so it is not a big issue anymore.

Years ago, when I was a software developer, we had a test PC set up with a pull-out HDD slot. We had several versions of Windows, and NT installed so we could test and make installation packages for computers running those different operating systems.

Richard, I called them before I opened the static bag. I wanted to make sure it was correct. They told me since they did not have any 1tb at the moment they processed the rma, they shipped what was in front of them. She told me to enjoy. It's all good. I WILL!!!!!! Thanks WD

I only use WD hard drives. I have not had problems with them.
