I've searched for a couple hours through old posts and can't find the answer so I finally decided to sign up and post. Yesterday I started my '05 Sporttrac with the radio on and after about 2 seconds the radio quit, gauges froze (rpm stayed at 1200 when I shut it off), and I couldn't shift out of park. I had just parked it (on a hill) less than an hour before. I found a 50 amp fuse in the front passenger side of the battery junction box that's blown. Swapped it out for the subwoofer fuse and got home. This morning I started the truck and the same thing happened. I replaced the fuse and it blew immediately. Any suggestions about what might be causing the surge? I know I have a lot of wire tracing to do but thought maybe someone has seen this. Thanks, David
