How many of you folks from the Northeast enjoyed this 70's degree weather? All I can say is Zowie! I have lived here (MASS) my entire life and cannot ever remember a day quite like this. I love to cycle (any cycling junkies out there?), so I was able to get in about 35 miles and I was actually warm - no – hot.

Then I came home and gave the old ST a nice wash in the driveway.

Tomorrow, good weather or not, we have to kick back and watch Tom Brady and the Pat's start (YET ANOTHER) drive to the Super Bowl :D

I will agree that it has been very nice.

However, at some point in the future it will be at the cost of others.

Many many years from now, but it will be an issue.

But YES,,,, I love this winter weather...

yes i loved it also hit 72 here.

And we will kick back and watch the J-E-T-S...JETS JETS JETS and MANGENIOUS!!!! send

the pats to the golf course not the super bowl. enjoy

Dan, I was living in Waltham back in 1983, and distinctly remember a day with summer temps in the middle of winter. Was in college at the time and we played frisbee in short sleeves the courtyard. This was just a few short years after scientists predicted an ice age would wipe out humans. It doesn't happen often, but it happens, and it's not because of carbon dioxide from your truck's tailpipe.

When the key figure crusading for a cause is a career politician, hold onto your wallet.

I'm benefiting from a warm winter too. This time of year in Poland it should be snowing, but today it is 46 degrees and raining. I am not complaining, since it will be a month or more before my car arrives. Walking everywhere in snow and ice would suck. :)

It was 71 in NYC yesterday. It is a nice change from normal nasty January weather in NYC. Since I work outside everyday its nice to not be freezing and be able to feel my fingers. I'm sure we will get hit with the normal cold weather we get sooner or later. I put my vote in for a mild winter. :)

The only bad thing is that plants and etc are growing again and people who suffer from allergies, like my pregnant wife, are getting killed. :(

Sorry, Northerners, but this Floridian is voting no.

I had to turn my air conditioning back on yesterday because it was almost 80ºF in my house, and there are freaking mosquitos flying around outside in December and January!

Keep in mind, I'm in north Florida, 10 minutes from the GA border. When I lived in Ft. Lauderdale, I expected this. In Tallahassee, it's just plain wrong.

From my understanding, a lot of the NE depends on snowfall for its drinking water. What are ya'll gonna do about that? Doesn't sound like it's good to me but then again, I generally don't wear a coat here because rarely does it get that cold. We maybe only have a couple of days below freezing and that's it.

It's been wet...just not snow. I have had to drain no less than 10" of water off my pool cover since Thanksgiving.

Yep. tons of rain. We had a day about a month or so ago where it rained around 4" in about 2 hours. A crazy amount of rain in one month. I forget how much and which month it was but I think it was a record.

Our (NY) reservoir system is doing very good, normal levels for this time of year is 78% its over 95% now.

Exactly, JohnnyB, if the weather had been below freezing since Thanksgiving, like many Winters of years past in the NE, then we would be looking at a nice amount of snowfall right now.

I'm not crying.

I have done everything I can to make sure it WON'T snow, including:

- Put away all the deck patio furniture

- Got out the snow blower, prepped it for the season

- Brought out all the snow shovels

- Stocked up on de-icer and salt

- Put up the orange reflective rods along all lawn/walkway obstacles I don't want to hit with the blower.

With all that prep work, I am sure it won't snow.

If I had done none of that, we would have had 4' by now.
