IDLE

my trac is idling very high right now to the point that it will run almost 30 mph without touching the gas pedal. I had the "idle Assembly" (not sure that was the part" replaced. It is a piece right up under the plastic cover on the engine with the 4.0 written onit. This did not help. It is also making my timing chain rattle go crazy. Any ideas? Thanks

i had the same problem on my '01. when i stopped at the light, the truck rattle so hard that it stopped. i took it to the dealer and found out that i had a vacuum leak.
