The second one is sized perfectly (by the person who designed it) to be a background image on a standard-sized (not widescreen) computer screen. It's one of the better illusions out there, IMHO--right along with the one of a person who appears happy when viewed up close, but angry when viewed from a distance. (Or is it the other way around? I don't remember.)
