After reading about the hunting season post, I got the itch. Our archery season opened Sept. 15th. I was practicing shooting today. On the 3rd set of three arrows, this is what happened...a shot a Robin Hood!;)

wow,So you use that long arrow to get closer to the target. Actually that is very good Gary.It is pretty hard to get that done with practice ends._Ron

Thanks.

Thomas, I used to shoot in the " Sportsman's Team Challenge ", down in Fla.. It was rifle, pistol. and shotgun shooting. When I would practice .22 pistol, I did shoot the paper target in half, "sideways"! Pretty cool to see that paper get cut in half. Not as hard to do as you might think. Shooting timothy grass in half is fun with the .22 rifle too

I saw that mythbuster show but I think there was something different then just hitting the same arrow or something different about the arrow. I used to shot my .22 pistol and rifle all the time when I was younger. My cousins and I used to hold our own little competitions and I can remember shooting playing cards sideways and actually cutting it a few times but that is out of hundreds of shots. It was not so hard to hit it but harder to get the angel perfect to go the whole way through. Thinking about this makes me want to dig out the old .22 rifle I might just have to do that.
