Well, I purchased the IVA-D310 InDash Alpine DVD today...

I am wondering what exactly I need in terms of hooking up my Xbox into the vehicle to work on this unit? I guess mainly in terms of powering the Xbox... I am not new to car audio, but brand spankin new to in car video.

Im assuming the video cords plug directly into the unit... I see power convertors online for cars but they plug into lighters.... Id like to hardwire it if possible.

Thanks!

when you get the adapter you can go to walmart or werever and get a replacement lighter plug and plug adapter into it. then put power the the plug and just hide it wherever. Tha xbox should plug into it but make sure it is an input not output outlet on the radio

Just FYI, the Xbox draws something like 180watts when running. I know because I used to have a 175watt continuous power inverter, and the Xbox would light up, but not power up, and the inverter would go to "overload" mode. I have since acquired an 800watt continuous inverter which should be enough to power just about anything. It's hooked to 4gauge wires with an inline fuse directly to the battery and everything works great.

"Endurance" 800watt power inverter. Bought it at Advance Auto Parts with my employee discount. It's shiny blue and black, with a built in fan, and dual outlets; it also has a constant on 12v cig lighter style outlet. Got it mounted on the hump under the back seats between my amp under the rear driver seat, and the Xbox under the rear passenger seat.

XST,

Just go to Canadian Tire and get one. Thats where I got mine.

just go to www.canadiantire.ca and look up "inverters" in the auto section. Or just go to your local store.

By the way (from a previous post of yours) Costco seems to have the best price on yellow tops.
