I have a 04 Sport Trac, and when I go on crutchfield to try to find a double-din headunit that plays dvd's, none of them fit. Why is that?

Ryan- The DD units WILL fit with slight trimming to the bezel, according to Mr. Rugby on the MySt FAQ. (Audio)

Check out (HawaiianST) Double Din Pioneer install in his library. (Audio Category) Very Clean.

P.S.- There are SINGLE Din DVD/Receivers available with flip down displays. A few posts regarding blocking air vents when using. I know that Alpine, Pioneer, and Kenwood, all make them. If you don't want to trim the bezel.

I have a Panasonic that I put in for long trips with the family, And Yes like SwsHawaii said you do have to trim, its not much, there is a small 1/4in raise on the bottom that I cut out, piss poor job though, considering I dont have a dremel :p

You can put a Double Din in your Sport Trac. Like they have already stated just takes a little Trimming.

Here are my Pictures. and there are more in my Library..

Thank You for the help, but the only reason i do not want to get the fold out dvd player, is because it will cover up the ac/heat vents.

Mine is the full Double DIN.. i used a Bezel from and Explorer. so I could get the other switch location.

and so I could return to Stock if I ever had too..
