Hey Everyone,

I was hoping to find someone with a touchscreen or monitor in the headrest setup. I would like to know the exact setup you used so I can start some research on this new addition to my trac. I am in Korea so I cant make any mistakes because each one would mean ordering and waiting..... I did a post search and came up with one but it wasnt specific on what he used, harnesses, monitors and double din in-dash touchscreen. Thanks in advance!

ST LOST IN KOREA

One more thing,

I dont need a navigation capability with the in dash player. If maybe a complet ekit exist out there somewhere that would work best. Or if a company happens to make headrest for the ST already containing a headrest monitor.

Thanks again!

Hey whats up. I did an In Dash Touchscreen and Headrest Monitor setup. I used all Alpine stuff. I used the IVA310 In dash HU along with two 7" Alpine headrest monitors. The shop who did the install was a little worried if the 7" screens would fit, but the installer did a great job. The HU is a single din and folds out with a screen. When I made the purchases for these items, the HU was around $1300 and it came with its own brain. I paid $475 for the headrest monitors on Ebay and they came with one brain to hook into the HU brain. I guess I should show off:

Hey!

Thanks for the pics and response! You should show off nice setup~! I was wondering why did you choose the single din over the double? Does this touch screen have blue tooth? I really want the player to be able to communicate with the IPHONE via Bluetooth so no actual DVDs or cds would need to be used I hate hardware. Anyway would you mind emailing me I would like to actual talk with you about it via phone. My email is [email protected]

Thanks!

I would first say on system selection, you should go with what product company you like or find interest in. I have always liked Alpine, so that is what I had went with. I don't know if my HU will work with IPOD or IPHONE, unless with an updated wiring harness. If interested in Alpine, you should check out their website. They have a lot of good information.

I chose the single din over the double din, mainly for not showing all that I have. I like the fact I can hide the screen and not have to worry about too many people looking for a TV. Also, my HU has a detachable faceplate. But do check the website, it will more be of help to help with your selection of products.

Go to the link below. It is a complete audio/video company. Have purchased in the past, great service, knowledgable staff and competative prices. They can put a system together for you that will fit and work properly. They even sell "installation" gift cards to be used at your local stereo/video shop! Give them a look, they sell all/most manufacturers equipment. Good luck, Bob

PS: Rosen is a company the sells video headrests already installed, just wire 'em up.
