For the third time in the last 12 months, my 2001 Sport Trac is in the body shop. The first time was to repair the damage my son created when he ran a stop sign. The second time had to do with damage incured in the rear quarter in a blizzard. On Monday, my brother-in-law 'borrowed' my truck to run an errand and hit a 12 point buck.
Some details - We were spending the weekend at a lake home that belongs to my brother in law. He took my truck with my wife's blessing. I was still asleep after a terrible night in a broken bed (the bed frame fell apart around 4am dropping one corner to the floor). When he got up the handle had been snapped off of the kitchen faucet. On the way to the hardware store he hit the deer.
Preliminary estimates are $2150.
