I want to install a tool box. Anyone have any more input about (durability/quality) fitting (drilling) into the plastic bed? Any success stories or hardships? .....not looking to merely secure box down with use of cables.

my bed cover is bolted with hinges to the top front rail and it takes some abuse and i have no problem

I stopped into a Bagnell auto parts store here in Ma. because a fellow had a sport trac like mine. I saw he had an inbed box perfect in size. He says he got it at Lowes. He used the inside tiedowns with turnbuckle style latches or whatever you would call them. A hook attached to the box and the other hook to the tiedown and nuts secured it on each end of the buckle to prevent theft. It was quite a box and it fit lower than the bed so a cover will fit over it. Not my trac so I don't have much more input. P.S. yes I told him about the site! :D
