Installing a Factory 6 CD Changer

I have a an 2003 XLS ST with a single CD player. I am going to install a 6 CD Changer with the sub-woofer/amp. Does anyone know the the factory harness is the same?

I don't think it is. Unless you already have the sub/amp from the factery in your ST. The Wiring for the amp won't be there. I could be wrong but I know when some people sell thier amp/sub they also sell the wiring harness with it but most don't.

I'm looking at soon adding a 6-Disk Ford Factory changer from a 1998 Explorer XLT to my '02ST.



Will this even be possible??

Along the same subject...would it make much difference keeping the staock radio and just replacing the speakers? If so...which speakers?

Sam, The factory wire harness to the CD player will support either the single CD player or the 6 Disk CD player. I converted my single CD player to the 6 Disk player and installed the sub-woofer/amp. Had to purchase the wire harness for the sub-woofer/amp from Rusty. See the link on the "Project Install".
